Thanked: 1Hi from the UK
Had my first straight shave today with a Neil Miller prepped straight.
Not too much blood so I look forward to learning how to do it properly.

Thanked: 33Hi Antdad,
Welcome to SRP from Milton Keynes!
Don't worry-the blood letting gets less and less as you go- just switch to a D/E when your face gets too sore.(that way you can still enjoy the pre-shave prep, lather etc).
Read the wiki-and enjoy your shaves!!!
Regards
Noggs

Antdad,
Welcome to SRP. Hope that your foray into str8 razor shaving will be a long and enjoyable one.
As noggs noted, don't worry too much about the nicks and cuts. That's what styptic was made for. Follow the stuptic up with some antibiotic ointment or cream and you're good to go.
Take care...And may every shave be a close, comfortable shave."Age is an issue of mind over matter. If you don't mind, it doesn't matter." Mark Twain

Hello and a warm welcome aboard from Manchester.
Keep it up, its easy once you know how. I have a strop from Neil, great guy to do business with.
Enjoy what may well become a new hobby (or obsession in the case of many here!).
