Strop Question
I have the SRD Latigo Strop with a second weaved fabric strop. Is the weaved fabric functional or just ornamental? Does it serve similarly to linen?

In my experience the webbed fabric is super and I use it with no paste or chrom-ox. I hear it works well with the chrom-ox but I have that on an alternative strop.
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

+1, the webbed fabric is really excellent. It works just as well as, if not better than, the linen on my other strop.

The webbing works, but it is ugly and makes strange noises. A possible compromise:

Yes, similar to linen. And it works very well, IME.
