Thread: New to SRP...

Greetings to all, I have been a member on B&B since Feb. '10 and figured I would join you gents to take advantage of all the resources I can. I started shaving with a Merkur 23C last January and got my first straight a few weeks ago. Still working on my technique, but getting great shaves with little to no irritation. I have of course given myself a couple nice little cuts on the cheek but nothing serious. I use a Dovo 5/8 Best Quality that I got from Vintage Blades (honed by Lynn) and the Latigo strop (manged to nick it several times during my first week, again nothing major). Really enjoying learning this new skill. You will be seeing me around here quite a bit and I look forward to getting much better, with your help of course.

It sounds like you got your first razor from the same place I got mine. Rest assured, though, over time RAD will kick in and you'll be surfing the webpage of another vendor and/or the SRP "Classifieds" to add to our str8 razor collection.

Str8 razors are similar to Lay's Potato Chips...Nobody can own just one.

Good to have you here Matt, you won't find a more helpful bunch of guys anywhere! Keep us posted on your progress.
