Thanked: 0beard shaving
Hey all, i've almost got my razor set up complete. special thanks to razor mike for a sweet razor i got in the mail friday!
i've got the basic idea of what to do but i have onen question
i've been growing a beard since january and it's got some pretty good length on it. but it's getting hot around here and the beard has to go.
so, should i use clippers to shave down pretty close to my face or should i just shave the whole thing with the razor? when i used cartrige razors i would have to shave it down to where it was very short so it wouldn't clog the razor after one pass. i know the straight wont get clogged ever, but would it be harder on the razor to cut though all that beard?
another thought is my face shape. since i havn't seen it since about feb it might be a good idea to shave down and see how to angle the razor.
any suggestions to help a noobie out?

i think it's probably best to first trim the beard because then it's more easy to lather up, this makes you're beard softer and more easy to shave

There's no question that in the hands of a guy who knows what he's doing a straight can shave off your beard without clipping it first. However, for a guy that's learning, you hit on the main concern: you need to be able to see the angle and face shape. Welcome to SRP. Have fun
