Does anyone follow this rule? I have always found warm - hot water more comfortable on the face.
Hmm... I only rinse my razor after the shave. I wonder if putting my razor in the freezer before a shave would constrict the blade even more and allow for an even closer shave. Maybe I'll try it tomorrow

Yes, sometimes when I am shaving ATG I rinse the blade with cold water. It feels kind of funky when you put that cold steel against a warm neck and cheek but it does close pores and soothe. I use the Iwasaki kamisori's with this method and it is a very close shave. Try it you might like it.
