Lol, I use scary-sharp blades all the time with my woodcarving but I have a safety glove and thumb guard on. I had contemplated if a nose and ear guard might be in order for my first go around. In reality though, I think I will be ok. I'll just take it slow and enjoy the experience. The relaxing music and cappuccino are good ideas too. I'm actually getting excited.

P.S. just found out my order hasn't shipped yet, so I have a little more time to study. Wow, I need to control my enthusiasm, for I had a fleeting, stupid idea to practice with one of the woodcarving knifes in the mean time. But I thought better of it.

    Happy shaves,
    Jim

Good start. Take it slow and easy.

Enthusiasm is good! Practicing with wood-carving knives...probably not. Although I'm going to be practicing my stropping tonight with a butter knife!

I'm glad to hear you're getting excited, I definitely was, and still am.

    Enjoy the anticipation.
