Thanked: 1903My favourite cream is http://straightrazorpalace.com/shavi...ing-cream.html, my favourite soap is http://straightrazorpalace.com/shavi...ving-soap.html. Both are probably the most expensive in the market, and have quite unique scents, which is why I would not recommend them. If you are looking for moderately priced but good products, I would try MWF as a soap (since you have SRD's already) and one of CarrieM's creams. You might want to take a look at our reviews section, though.

Stubbles,
Personal taste and your skin type will dictate what you will like to or can shave with.
Currently I have had a bit of a cut-down on my soaps and creams (Please see the 'WTF' thread on SRP ).
Soaps - Tabac and Cella; Palmolive shave stick for travelling
Creams - Musgo Real and Taylors Avocado
Have fun !
Best regards
Russ

Thanked: 96I've never used a soap, but both creams I have tried have been great imo, they are Castle and Forbes Lime and Domenico Caraceni "1913". All the talk about the scent of the 1913 had me a little nervous but I have to say I really like the scent. Sorry these are not the cheaper alternatives you were looking for but both are great values afaic, with the 1913 being the better of the two.

Thanked: 1903It's funny you should mention that. Having tried a few creams in my time, I've come to the conclusion that saying, 'Cream XYZ goes a long way' is a bit like saying, 'Member XYZ is 7ft small'. Basically all good creams I know go a long way. There are some rare specimen that do not, and those should be contrasted with the standard
