    Although new to str8s I'be been DE shaving since January and have found that finishing my shaves by rubbing an alum block over my face helps me.

    I know that some people rince it off after a few minutes but I find it OK to leave on. For me at least it seems to have more affect on reducing burn than balms or aftershave.
