Thanked: 1903I wonder if you can replace the Simpson with a Thäter. But that's a personal preference. The strop will be fine. Just run your palms across it every now and then to "oil" it.
Happy shopping,

The Simpson is a good brush. Your strop should be good to go depending on who you got it from. Most strops are ready when you get them. The best way to condition it is like BeBerlin said and just run a flat palm over it like your stroping your palm. Then natural oils from your hand will help condition the leather. This is something you don't need to do to often. I hope this helps Look in the Wiki for more info. Welcome and enjoy your new gear.
