    Default In Less than a month

    I have gone from using just a Monsieur Charles to:

    5/8 Black Diamond Wedge with spike point (from shavedzombie...great first true straight for me to start!)
    5/8 Morley Clover Brand with round point (from bobsrazors.com and I cannot recommend him enough!)
    Waiting for a just bought tonight 5/8 Shumate Tungsten from hi_bud_gl

    I've also bought from ebay an Ezy Edge razor hone and a filly strop that I've been lucky enough to keep nick free in the past month.

    When will it stop? I cannot stop looking at the classifieds. I'm going to strop the Clover now....

    The fun part about using different razors is that they shave differently.

    The bad news for beginners is, they're adding yet another option for failure to the process.

    I would stick to one or two for the first few weeks (I had two Wackers for the first three months), and only branch out once you've got the technique figured out more or less.

    When will it stop..personally I have "activated" self control ever since I started with DE/SE handles...now I have one of each and am getting my 2nd str8 from my wife's grandfather (I'm very honored)..I was gonna buy a 2nd one but was offered his..I will keep using my str8's til I get BBS and things get easier around the harder to "get to" areas on my face become natural
