Thanked: 0applying diamond spray to strop
Hi all,
I have a bottle of diamond spray with an utterly useless sprayer. It doesn't pump anything out at all.
Any alternatives to applying diamond spray? I'll go look for a small spray bottle at the local Target later but if there is an easy way other than that let me know.
danke,
allan

Many, art supply shops have small empty spray bottles in the water color section.
You can just shake the bottle and dribble drops on your hand then
rub on a strop or whatever. The suspended solids often clog the
works so it pays to pull the spritzer and spray it dry after use and
then spritz clear water through it.
You only need a little bit so be cautious with the lid off.
Felt is reported to lump up when a big drop hits it so extra
cautious on felt.

Thanked: 172Walmart also has small spray bottles. I use them for putting smaller amounts of after shave.

I'd never thought of using a spray bottle for aftershave. Might have to give that a try.
Btw, felt does lump up when big drops hit it. I figured out (the hard way) that when applying diamond spray to felt if you spray from up to down on the felt pad it works fine. However, if you spray from down to up (at least with the bottle I have), a couple of big drops come out and make lumps on the felt. The only cure I've found is washing the felt under the tap and then let it dry.
