    Default Second shave, NICE!

    Had my second shave today.

Made a nice full bowl of lather (at which I am getting pretty awesome by now, it's becoming really nice stuff, especially with some added glycerin). Steamed my face a bit and gave my brush the time to soak.

I used a cheapo shavette for this shave which takes single edge derby blades, now I don't have much to compare to but those derby blades are pretty damn sharp!

Did my whole face again just like the first time (I just can't resist) and I must say that even though the little trembles and fear factor is still there it went much better. I took my time and the result was worth it. Only 2 very small knicks on my upper lip (which is HARD to shave i have to say) and the rest of my face was fine. Almost no razor burn (although quite some redness) and smooth as never before. I don't think I ever shaved so close with a disposable razor

    I'm hooked!

On my first few shaves, my mouth area was the place that got nicked the most. Always on the upper lip and the sides of my mouth. Now, after one month the lather on my face no longer turns pink mid shave.

    Hi TheSkyer ,
    Congrats on your second shave.
I don't use a shavette ,but I do use Derby blades in my D/E and yes they are sharp.Very good blades imho.
Until your facial skin gets used to the blade ,it will get red and sore-use a good aftershave balm to help heal the skin.
    keep going and enjoy.
    Regards

I had my third shave today with the shavette and it went ok. Again, I made pretty awesome lather (I love lathering, can't wait to try out a million different soaps XD)

I had a very smooth and close shave although I did nick my lip again (twice) not deep or painful but to bad it isn't going that well in that area. Also nicked the side of my mouth but other that that not to much redness or razor burn.

I notice that if you keep the razor at an angle around the mouth you can get into the tight spot allot better without scraping your cheeks of :P

Anyhow, again I am a happy shaver! Not BBS but damn close to it.
