    Default first successful shave!

after three months of trying (with varying degrees of success), i finally got the first true 'successful' shave! i'm not sure what it was, but i think a combination of practice, patience and getting a truly 'shave-ready' razor courtesy of lynn's honing skills finally got me a BBS shave without having to go over any parts with a regular razor.

    so long, Gillette!

Congrats! Don't let a set-back now slow you down either. It's still a long term learning curve.

Congrats! I'm sure a good honing is what was needed. Glad to see you stuck with it for 3 months.

As I recall when I started it seemed like I struggled for many weeks and then one day it all clicked into place and I got a great shave.

It should all be on cruise control for you now. Just tweek things as you go along and stay focused.
