    Default help

    started with a shavette with shave gel just to try it. used soap for the first time tonight lather didn't hold up well. also tried secret shave.still have to many nicks. is a straight razor better than a shavette? have read the tips still need more help. is the dvd worth getting?

    Traditional straight will produce fewer nicks. It takes time and practice though. Lots of time and practice.

    The DVD is excellent. More people should take the time to watch the DVD, long before they start trying to shave.

    Anything that helps you learn is worth it. Read everything and practice. This is a different kind of shaving and there is a learning curve. Don't get discouraged and ask questions. Always ask questions.

    I have never used a shavette so i have no opinion about those. Angle, no pressure, and shave prep are the keys.
