Thanked: 2Skin Stretching...Need a few pointers.
I choose to sport a non connecting goatte. For the sides of my face I do the basic stretch technique. Opposing hand over my head, pull on top part of cheek. for my neck I point my head down grab neck around collar bone look up and skin is taught. My question is, how would I get the skin on both edges of my mouth and down, the area it would connect if I chose to do so, and between my soul patch, and chin hair taught? In order to create a sharp line of chin hair and a close shave. hopefully my descrption isn't terrible and you get the idea of said area. It would be a big help to me and I'm sure other junoir members have similar questions. Thanks to all you senoir members and mentors for your helpful advice.

My reco is to hit Youtube and watch video of barbers shaving.
I learned a lot about skin stretching from seeing how the barbers do it. Make sure they are barbers and not just straight afficionadoes filming themselves.
Now, I don't prep or strop like a barber, but I do use their skin stretching techniques to a rousing success.

the tongue
For difficult areas around the mouth try using your tongue. Use your tongue to stretch from the inside of your mouth. Like you have a chew in. I use this technique often. I have a few videos in the forums and on youtube. you can search jpm7676.

I just open my mouth as wide as I can, which stretches it as tight as it needs to be.

Thanked: 66I would suggest lightly skin stretch...but DO NOT over skin stretch as one member got a scar from it..slow n steady will win the race (of shaving)..lol..I have a hand injury and now after 3 months or so..do minimal skin stretching and shave right handed only
