    Default Dodgy Razor

If there`s a list of didgy rubbisj downright dangerous brands of razor I have a candidate. I`ve got two razors here I got with a strop I bought. The brand is "Best Brand" far from being best, it`s cheap, nasty and just plain dodgy. I took them to the strop for the first time today, I haven`t shaved with them and I don`t intend to either after looking at them more closely. There are deep grind marks right on the bevel and the point and the scales are so horrible and cheap that they don`t even hold the blade properly. It flopped over and very nearly got my thumb today. I suppose I could use them for honing practice or just attemot a refurbishment, purley for fun but they certainly aren`t of any use to me they way they are right now. That`s me down to one razor. I`ve gotten a fantastic shave (My best yet) out of that one at least once. I`m chatting to a SRP member about buying a few trusted brand razors. I look forward to trying a trusted brand, it may well be that it`s a totally different ball game to what I`ve been using so far.....

I've seen those "two razors and a strop" deals on ebay and you've confirmed my suspicion. I've been that route once with a cheap razor, my very first. It was from Pakistan. But then, we know better now, don't we?
Not to be flip, but it's not a total loss. They may make decent box cutters.

The general rule for ebay razors is, if it's new AND it's cheap, then it's crap.

They make a good teaching tool of what not to buy...and you can use them to show someone how to shave with a straight, how to handle it with out getting cut...can't sharpen it enough to cut anything but butter.

You should return those if possible
On the grounds that what you recieve is not a razor just a bad copy

if you got them on ebay chanses are that you can win on those grounds
Atleast let the seller know that you consider this fraud
