Camellia Oil qustion
is it safe to use the oil off your Razor to your Strop and still leave it on your razor to your skin? has any one been doing this if so do you use one drop every time your done shaving? or every other shave?
Thanks everyone

fish4life,
Camellia oil (Tea Seed oil) is pressed from seeds of the Camillia family; it is used for a variety of purposes, including cosmetics and cookery. We may conclude from this that it is safe for human contact.
In order to prevent too much oil being transferred to your strop, I would gently wipe your razor with a tissue before stropping.
Post shaving, after cleaning & drying your razor, a light coat of the camellia oil should protect you razor.
Have fun !
Best regards
Russ

Just a note, regular mineral oil works well too...

Agree with Russ, and also want to mention Lynn's alternative blade rust prevention ... Sewing Machine Oil.
Also I put a drop on my razors after every shave, and make sure the edge gets covered, as that is the most critical part. To do this, stroke from spine to the edge (the same way you strop) to ensure that you don't cut yourself or dull the blade edge.
