Wife Says I Have Very Red Blood as she takes the towel in to be washed.Just when I was starting to get the hang of this I go and cut my thumb.

I tell many people on here to watch out for the fingers & thumbs. Being a newbie, it's easy concentrate so heavily on your face that you forget about your hands. Another time to watch out for this is when you are drying your razor.
I hope you don't let this set you back and just chalk it up as a learning experience. Keep at it. It's worth it in the long run.

No problems. It was pretty funny,I was just thinking how the shave was going so well, best one yet,no nicks on my face ect.

Thanked: 1195Worst cut I ever had from a straight was on my pinky finger. The cut was so clean I didn't know I did it until the blood started flowing.

Thanked: 1160Yeah...I did the same thing about a few weeks ago whil switching hands to shave my melon. No cuts on the face ,but nicked my finger .It was clean and painless haha . Welcome to the world of Straight steel.
