    Default A beginner's update

Had my 4th or 5th shave yesterday. Shower, a good run with the strop, and off I went. Getting pretty good with everything but the chin, which was the location of my only nick. Went WTG, lathered up again (don't kill me but I'm still using my Headslick cream that I've been using for years), and went ATG everywhere but the chin. BBS smooth on probably 80%, and not far from it everywhere else but the chin. My neck seems to have about 14 different growth patterns to it.

I plan on studying a few videos and instructional posts before the next shave and figuring out how to do better on my chin. When my ridiculous supply of Headslick starts getting low (Father's Day haul!), I plan on moving to the preferred method of a brush and a decent soap.

Thanks to all that helped me on my way so far...

Shaves keep getting better as time goes by. I m about 7 months in and they still continue to get better. I think everyone has a learning curve for their chin, I bled a few times on mine.

As far as shave cream goes: Whatever you like is the best one for you.

    Anyway, enjoy!!!
