    Default My first shave!

I lost my cherry yesterday, I tried out a new razor. It's a Parker SRW from Amazon, so I wasn't expecting great results, plus my brush & soap hasn't arrived yet, so I used the Gillette stuff I usually use. I started slow on the cheeks, and everything went just fine. I even had enough confidence to try my neck, but after one pass, I saw a bunch of little red dots and decided to stop there.

Any tips for the neck? I thought I was stretching it pretty well, it just seems like an awkward angle to go from the jaw line down that curve of the neck.

Good job. I will tell you that after a few months, my neck still gives me fits from time to time. I can't really offer any other advice than be patient, use a light touch and try different ways of stretching your skin. It took me some time to get comfortable shaving my neck and I am still not perfect.

Also, don't stress out too much if you are not getting a perfect shave. Enjoy the experience and do the best you can. Each shave, you will get better.

...oh......and get a brush and soap! That is one of the most enjoyable parts of shaving!!!
