And the leather will be genuine dinosaur hide..!

+1 on an SRD kit, those are really excellent!

finally got around to buying a razor. I bought one from the adds on here.

(can't post a link, kinda hard to explain) but it's the one posted as:

"Bengall Razor - Full Concave" 6/8 - Beaut. etch, Great Shaver, Shave-Ready"

what does everybody think of it?

thanks again for all the help.

    reasons for buying this one:

-lots of people recommended buying a shave-ready razor from this site
-it's a brand of razor people seem to be a fan of
    -it's a 6/8
-comes from someone who seems to know what they are doing when it comes to straight razor shaving
-it looks like it's been well taken care of
    -I could afford it hahahah

You did good for your first razor. It should serve you for many years to come. I just hope for your sake that that razor doesn't have any of the contageous RAD on it...

Though I'm not familiar with Timor, if it's, "forged and ground in Solingen" it's probably a fairly decent razor. However, I thk for the price, you could do better. And as stated by others, it would undoubtedly need to be honed. I too, would recommend SRD.

I bought the same razor as my first from the same site. Now I only have a dovo to compare it to. But i think its sort of a stronger metal. Case i hit it on the tap a bunch of times. and my friend dropped it on a sidewalk once and from a bunch of beginner abuse it only has two or three real "nicks" on it. Im gald i had gotten it becasue if it was dovo that i have now, I probly would have broken it.
