Thanked: 0Polishing gold on Puma?
I have been using Maas with a dremel to polish old razors I have been getting off E-bay but now have a Puma with "High Class" embossed/painted (?) in gold on the blade. Is polishing this a bad idea or should I just leave it alone? Any thoughts are appreciated.

You polish it kiss it goodbye before you do .... the gold that is. Windex on a tissue is alright but any metal polish will wipe the gold off.
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

Jimmy is absolutely right. MAAS should probably be called "Gold be Gone"

Polishing Gold on Puma?
Gentlemen:
What's more, a Puma blade with a few shadows framing the gold wash is a sign of maturity and experience.
It gives the razor an antique air. I like that.
Yes, I, too, would go along with the Windex and tissue idea and let the rest alone.

Obie

When I got my Puma High Class it had just a trace of gold left on it. I think it looks better with it all off but that's my view. It's a wonderful razor by the way.
