Well I'm glad someone posted this question and I'm glad that I saw it... Maybe I should start out with a BUTTER KNIFE!

when I bought my two razors the guy also threw a practice razor in with the deal as well to try honing. I have some Nortons from my wood working and honed and stropped that razor.
Tried it this morning and to my surprise shaved better then the two professionally honed razors. i'm NOT saying that I'm a better honer as this razor is 6/8 vs 4/8 and I'm sure that has something to do with it. So any newbs out there don't be scared of trying to hone.
