OK it happened after two months of no mishaps, a momentary lapse of attention resulted in slicing into finger tip almost to bone with a beautiful Wade & Butcher. I was holding razor with left (non-dominant) hand and rinsing, and as I went to use right thumb to rub shave residue off blade somehow the middle finger of right hand contacted the edge and went into it. After about 45 minutes of pressure to stop bleeding and pondering whether throw a stitch into it, the wife (who is a surgeon) decided to steristrip it, approximating the edges and shaking her head, questioning the wisdom of my new hobby with a "I told you so" look on her face. So... just in case you don't remind yourself everytime you pick up the razor, one needs to be constantly mindful of where the edge is, in relationship to your body.
