Thread: Hello from a Newbie

Hi All,

Just want to introduce myself to the board. I stumbled across this forum after joining B&B. It became pretty clear to me that I wanted to use a SR to shave after clicking around a bit. So here I am!

I will probably put a SR blade to my face for the first time this weekend. Thru the help of this forum I have acquired a Dovo silver steel in ebony from SRD, a Filly strop, and a EJ Best Badger in faux horn. I am already enjoying this new way of shaving, and I haven't even shaved yet. Hmm I think my wallet is in trouble.

Anyhow... I look forward to learning and eventually contributing from/to this great forum in days to come.

Lots of good information here. PLEASE make sure you read the Wiki. It will help with most of the problems that you may encounter as well as help on leaving your wallet closed and open on what you really need.

The site is loaded with info that becomes very addictive.

I am amazed at just how many new enthusiasts such as yourself have come in as of late.

I am sure you are going to enjoy this - it is cool beyond belief

This is a great forum and I am sure you will learn a lot from here. I am also a member of B&B and The Shave Den. This site and The Shave Den by far are the most informative I have found.

Do be sure to read up in the Wiki and and as many postings as you can, they will help.

The videos here are worth checking out and I would also recommend Mantic59 on YouTube.

thanks to all for the warm welcome. I 've been lurking on the forum and reading the wiki trying to soak up all I can. I will post my results after this weekend to let you know how well I digested all the info I've been reading.
