    You should be able to cut hair any way you want with a straight razor but if it can only split the hair longways its not optimally sharp. The irony is the marketing is implying that a failed test is desirable.

    The difference that I have noticed is that a straight razor gives me a far more comfortable shave on my neck than a DE does.
