I have the Parker SR1, which is the stainless steel version of the SRW. It is a great shavette for its price. I avoided the SRW because of the reviews I read on it; people complained about how flimsy its plastics felt. I got it a few months ago to train on as I transitioned from DE to SR shaving. Plus, it was only $18.
I have recently made the switch from the Parker SR1 to the Dovo "Best Quality" SR and notice the differences in shaving with each. The shavette gave me more nicks and cuts than the SR; the shavette's blade point can make its presence known well if you're not careful. The SR feels hefty when compared to the lightness of the shavette; I don't feel the need to push the SR much along my face, as I did with the shavette.
I will still keep my Parker as a backup, just in case I need to send out my Dovo for repair, and as a future training tool for my kids.

I attest to what MCJ said. My son had about 10 shaves with a real straight when he transition to the Feather SS and pro-guard blades. He hasn't cut, nick or burned himself with it. He hasn't done the ATG with it yet, but I have. It gets me two passes for close to BBS. Very very close to the feel of a real straight (I forget it's a disposable). It's forgiving, sharp, smooth and have the weight of the real thing. My son being getting about 12-15 shaves per blade. Which puts the cost to .11-.12 cents a shave with the pro-guard (15 blades for $25.00). Some people here being getting 20 or more shaves on the blade. The shave is as satisfying as the real thing. The only aspect you be missing is the stropping and sharpening of the blade, which I enjoy. Double O
P.S. liked it so much that I bought my own!
