    Thumbs up New!

I am new and still do not own a razor.
I started shaving with a cheap brush, and Proraso Cream and I am hooked on "gentlemen's shaving"
Looking for a good starter razor
    any advice??

    Welcome!

I'd check the classifieds here first as there are loads of great razors available there for excellent prices.

If you want new kit, take a look in the Vendors Corner. Places like SRD, Classic Shaving and The Invisible Edge can sell you new shave ready razors, plus a strop and all the other stuff you could need! Any reputable seller will get you good quality kit. Just dont spend a fortune until you know you enjoy it.

Avoid eBay though, that place is a minefield if you dont know what you're looking for!

Good luck and keep us posted!

I got my razor from whippeddog.com for only $23. I also got a strop from him for $13.

It was a nice set since I didn't want to spend a lot of money.

Thanks for all the welcome and help. This sounds like a great forum.
As far as a budget goes, I would like to keep it all under 100.
    Are these any good?

Eventually you will want to check out Rasage Poulin for a Thiers Issard
    Le Canadien razor.

DO NOT BUY THESE. If I remember correctly, Venus razors are listed under our Do not buy section.
