Yup, that is exactly what I noticed. Sound and pressure are may more consistent on the up and down stroke compared to stropping on 45 degrees.

Something I didn't post yesterday...... I shaved off my moustache(still have the goatee) without any problems other than getting the lather in there. Made 0 nick on my upper lip and got a really smooth and close shave on it. No irritation whatsoever.
