    Default Deflowered...

my new professionally honed Dovo Bismarck 6/8 with the natural bone scales. What a great shave! That blade is hefty, particularly if one is more accustomed to a 5/8 blade. It gave me a wonderfully comfortable shave (not that I don't get them with my vintage straight razors), but no irritation or nicks, just a perfect shave.

I did the whole routine...I have a face towel I soak in water, give a slight wring to it, fold it and heat it for 1 minute in the microwave. Meanwhile, I get my beard nice and wet with hot water, then on with the towel. After that, I lather up and mow down the growth. I tend to use a scything motion a lot, with the swing of the motion pivoting at about the tang of the blade and also using the monkey tail. Nice short strokes, and I can hear the sound of the blade doing its work.

Anyway, that was yesterday afternoon, I let my beard go on Sunday so tomorrow I will enjoy another shave, but using a different razor.
