Thread: About 12 shaves in

Hi all, so shaves are going well, smoother strokes with more removal, less rash and nicks. As of yesterday there has been no need for the touch up razor. As a newb to the straight razor I found that I had three options 1. Keep trying with the SR to get all the hair, usually left with a face and neck covered with blood dots a rash. Two, just leave it and look like I shaved in the dark. Or 3. Give the old once over with old expensive trusty. But not anymore, and a great sense of achievement was carried with me through out the day. And the niceest thing is the time, down to about 12-15 minutes. I can see that getting faster in days to come. But for now it's just right. Happy shaving everyone.

Congrats, keep it up! I found that if I concentrated on how much time I had to shave or how much I wanted to spend, it inevitably took longer. Once I stopped caring, the shaves got better and faster. Go figure.
