    Default Shaving creams, any recommendation?

Thanks to everyone who recommended their favorite DE razors, but I just want to know what shaving creams/soaps are the best and that are available to buy?

I like Trumpers soaps and creams, they're very good. Tabac is another popular soap, as is Mitchells Wool Fat.

SWMBO got me some Mama Bears soaps for my birthday last year and they are really great too, I especially like the cucumber and mint.

DR Harris do good soap as well, I have the Marlborough, and Castle Forbes lime cream is another favourite.

    Hope thats of some help!

    Rometh,

Your own countryman/countrycompany, Taylor of Old Bond Street, makes excellent shaving creams. I'm a great fan of them.

You will get too many responses on this so I will keep my list short or long, depending how you look at it. :

i suggest trying Mitchell's Wool Fat, Tabac, Cella (simple to lather), and/or any of the French soaps (Institut Karite, Provence Sante, Pre De Provence).

I am not so much into creams, but the two that seem to preform the best for me are Fitjar and Castle Forbes.

One of my favourite creams of the moment is St James of London. They also do a pre-shave mask thing that heats up your face/whiskers etc, and works just as well as the usual hot-towel prep IMHO (for when you are feeling lazy).

Big +1....I would add p160, irisch moos, and I was pleasantly surprised by the tabac cream.

Ask 10 people this, and you will get 15 responses. Here's mine:

I like almost all soaps/cremes I have tried. Top contenders (in no particular order):

    Soaps:

    1. Tabac
    2. SRD Bulgarian Rose
    3. Floris
    4. D.R. Harris
    5. Tumper's
    6. Mitchell's Wool Fat
    7. Pré de Provence

    Cremes:

    1. Al Raz Da Bomb
    2. CarrieM
    3. NancyBoy
    4. Castle Forbes

I am probably forgetting a few, but these I really like a lot. You can even mix the creme + soap for some superlather action
