Thanked: 8First month of shaving with a straight. Going great.
Im still having a few pressure issues with my chin and upper lip, but its coming along. Also, on my neck, the hair on either side of my throat near the bottom portion, it grows to the side and not up and down, its hard to shave that area.
I also started shaving my head last night with the straight. Its actually very easy, well the front half of my head is. I need a mirror or two behind me to get the back. I haven't done the back of the head yet, but ill get there im sure.
Thanks to Don for answering all my questions and Bill S. for the shaving lesson.

My neck hair grows the same way. I hold the razor at a 45 degree angle off horizontal (not off my skin) and move laterally for my first pass. 2nd pass is downward. 3rd pass I'm still trying to get down, but lots of small buffing strokes and finding ways to stretch the skin tight help.

The Chin is always a spot we have to learn. Keep at it, take your time, soon enough you'll be doing the BBS snoopy dance.
