    Default Getting Started

It's a pleasure to join you for the first time SRP. To introduce myself, my name's Chris and I'm currently a college student. I received my first strait razor shave (from my barber) last month and as I was sitting in the chair it dawned on me: this is how shaving ought to be. An art and a pleasure, not a chore.
I've been doing a lot of research on the forums, and despite my mother refusing to allow "santa" to bring me my first wet shaving kit, citing "you'll cut your throat!", I've decided I'm going to break down and treat myself pretty soon. There seem to be great deals on SRD to suit a college budget (I understand it's an investment), an an offer for lots of free future honing (until I get brave enough myself). Glad to be joining you, and I'll let you know how things work out!

    Chris,

Welcome to SRP! I seriously doubt you'll hurt yourself. Men have been doing this for generations.

    Welcome aboard

Welcome to SRP. I have only hurt myself a few times, but that's what the styptic pencil is for. Be sure to read the wiki and post any questions you have.
Why doesn't the taco truck drive around the neighborhood selling tacos & margaritas???

    Cool

Welcome. And don't forget to Respect the Blade!!! They are indeed very sharp, and like any sharp tool must be treated with respect. Not many here will risk losing their manhood by shaving in the shower or naked. Mistakes can happen!

    You'll love it!
