    Default One month update

Yesterday was a great SR milestone for me. I utilized my SR for all three passes, with only minimal cleanup with my cartridge razor required, mostly around the throat and under the chin. I'm still having some difficulty ATG in the neck/throat area. Better yet, was that I was able to achieve that coveted BBS shave suffering only one nick, which was easily controlled w/ a quick application of styptic powder.

I'm fairly confident in my WTG work, and my XTG is coming along nicely. Most of my work still lies in the ATG realm. Overall, I'm happy with my progress. Thanks to all whose sage advice has helped me along in this wonderful endevour **hoists martini glass**

    Default Grats, Sox!

O.K. boys, this one is hooked...

I remember most breakthrough shaves really well. Another advancement last month, realizing a problem area has a swirl pattern, rather than a single awkward pattern. No single direction of stretch an stroke will address it - must be done from several directions.

That you get good shaves at all is great. 'Probably some of them are great shaves, and those will get more and more frequent until they're the norm. At six mo. I'm still learning alot. 'Still somewhat punchdrunk at what a game changer a SMOOTH edge is (new asagi).

I hope the breakthroughs come at a regular rate, and that you enjoy each one alot.

'glass of Chateau Screwtop rises to the occasion.

Thank you for sharing your success and progress story. It provides encouragement to other newbies and those considering getting into straight shaving. It will get better for you on those areas with more practice as additional success lies in the technique.
