Some good advice so far; low angle, sharp razor (stropped before), and low pressure.

I would add that some short buffing strokes will help, BUT I'm hesitant to recommend this practice as it's an advanced technique. If you try it be sure to be extremely careful or you may end up worse off than you were before.

Well I managed to go ATG again on my upper lip and chin, but I didn't want to risk my success on the cheeks. I think what I'll do is get proficient on what I can do now, then when I feel ready, move on to the cheeks. I find it odd that the cheeks are giving me the most issues...

Anyway, my razor easily plowed down three day's growth, and on my ATG pass it wasn't pulling once I got the angle. At least I know my razor is sharp.

Thanks for the advice everyone! I think in a month or two I should be able to go ATG on my whole face.
