    Thanks for sharing your enthusiasm. The vendor may have a honemeister working with them to give the straight razors they sell a final sharpening before being sold and I would call them and ask them about this.

    Welcome Mr. Anderson. Very cool post. What always impresses me, with every shave so far, is how little pressure or no pressure achieves such close shaves.

    True, it takes more effort and time to use a straight, but the pay off is huge. I can shave in the morning and go out in the evening without shaving again. Even the next day, it's noticeably smoother than with any other type of razor.

    Keep taking baby steps and you'll be there in no time.
    I strop my razor with my eyes closed.
