    Default Well, I'm hooked

    Gentlemen,
Happy new year to start with.

I have to say I'm hooked 100% now. My first real straight came in a few days ago. unfortunately, due to a move I was not able to properly setup and try it out. So today after several hours on a plane, and a bunch of unpacking and a warm shower I was ready to give it a go. I lathered up my face (I don't think I prepped the lather all that well), stropped my razor and went to work. I have only experienced one other thing that can compete with this experience, since this is a polite discussion I won't mention the other. Now granted I'm still in the learning phase of my journey, and I did end up with a nick on the chin while I was doing my second pass but with the exception of that I have taken my first step and needless to say I'm not quitting.

    thank you everyone.

Congratulations on the first shave - very addictive, isn't it? It just keeps getting better.

Great start! It took me ten shaves for the blood-letting to subside.

Welcome to SRP and Happy New Year!

As you have found out, once you shave with a straight razor everything else feels like a compromise.

    Congratulations on a great start.
