handedness
You know, the thought of using such a ridiculously sharp instrument with my off-hand against my delicate flesh terrified me at first. Until I discovered (after much pink lather) that my non-dominant hand is actually my stronger shaving hand. I find this strange because I cannot wield a knife with my off-hand, but the razor is more comfortable there. Maybe I just pay more attention when the razor is in that hand.
Regardless, congrats on your successes. I, personally, don't fret the chin very much (shaves up nice and smooth), but I do have issues around the throat area. Might have something to do with the PTSD

Thanked: 443I bought a really small frameback on the Classifieds a couple of weeks ago, and it's interesting to shave with such a thin, light blade. You get all the feedback in the world. It's like a really stiff-riding small car, you feel every bump and scrape. That's not a bad thing, just an interesting one.
I only learned a couple of days ago that corn razors are called that because they were originally intended to shave corns off of people's feet. With that in mind, I hope you'll also invest in some barbicide!
Best wishes"These aren't the droids you're looking for." "These aren't the droids we're looking for." "He can go about his business." "You can go about your business."
