First successful(?) sr shave
Just had the first fairly successful full face shave and it was an adrenaline rush!!! I followed the advice I found elsewhere on this site that recommended shaving with your most comfortable method first, and then doing a wtg pass to get comfortable with the razor against your face before you try to tackle the whole beard.
What great advice!!! Of course, my technique is garbage, but I only nicked myself a few times, only one of which required the styptic pen. And the quality of the shave is, shall we say, less than stellar.
Used lanolin post-shave (*drool*) and everything feels much better. The shave soap really dries my face out, but this too shall pass.
Thanks for all the advice and encouragement. Looking forward to my first bbs shave, hopefully soon.

It's the little victories like this that will help you tackle each new challenge and become really comfortable with the razor. Congrats, you're on your way!
