Getting Better...
4 shaves in, I can feel my technique improving.
First WTG pass is always a little iffy, but the second is much better.
Also, I'm getting a lot more areas complete, and having to finish up less and less with the safety razor.
My left hand still needs a little more practice.
My coup de maitre is getting better as well
My hardest areas are still above and below my chin, the contours of my face make it difficulty to get the razor in there properly.
All in all, definitely encouraging results.

Congrats on the quick progress! Have you tried the XTG yet? If you think it's nice now, once you master the XTG then the smoothness really comes into effect! It's not too bad IMO because once you can dual hand the razor it's just a matter of time, keep it up!!

Well done! As you are discovering everybody has their own "touch" that works for them. You will reach shaving Nirvana before you know it!

Yea, i'm excited for things to come. I haven't tried XTG yet, mostly because I feel like I have so much to adjust on my WTG still.
I'm having a bit of trouble in the areas around my mouth mostly, because of the creases around there, it's hard to get the blade in there or make the skin taught no matter where i stretch from or what kind of facial yoga i do.
I guess I have to experiment some more to find my own groove there.

No matter what stage you're at in shaving there will always be facial yoga, my kids think it's hilarious and often just sit ther to try to make the faces in the mirror. Sometimes I need to put the razor down so I don't cut myself laughing, but at least it's quality time with my boys. If nothing else, shaving will now be something you look forward to, I know I do.

Great job, I'm finding as a rookie that I depend about 90% on the feel and 10% on the visual looking in the mirror. This along with taking my time for a proper prep and just getting in the zone with no outside distractions. Has produced a dozen good shaves that any man would brag about. Keep up the good work and most of all be patient.

canuckblade.
Well done
Learning is a funny thing; there is a time when you can't do something, followed by the time when you can - the learning bit in the middle always seems to become fuzzy !
Give it a few more weeks and you will be dextrously shaving with the best of them, and you will wonder what the fuss was about !!
Good luck !
Have fun !
Best regards
