That still means over twice as many active members as we have pinned on the map. And I know several on the map are inactive, so we could certainly do better. I know as much as I'm glad that I have a two+ hour radius of antique shops, flea markets, etc. to myself...I'd love to find a guy near by who knew something about straights, or whom I could compare enthusiasm with.

Strange women lying in ponds distributing swords is no basis for a system of government.

I agree, a sticky would be great. I think it also would be helpful to somehow access this map from the "user profile" page. As a new user, I never would have found this map if I hadn't stumbled on the link in this (beginner's) forum. Of course, I'm a newb in every sense of the word, and I'm only just now figuring out how to navigate my way around the site.
On another note, I've gotta tell you guys that I really do appreciate your site, the information here, and the extreme level of generosity displayed by your members in sharing that information. What an slick resource!!
THANX!!

Oh my gosh
So, I put my marker on the map and started to look around. It takes soooo long for the map to reload and then refind my location after everytime I look at a person I think I'm cured of finding a mentor.
I wish there was a way to search for experience and willingness. I'd hate to rattle the cage of the other beginners and bother them. Still, never finding a close contact.

yeah the googlemap is an old, pretty poorly written and buggy plugin, and it writes the markers overlay in a separate file that is then being read, so it is very slow. i don't know of anything better, but i haven't really looked. if any of you has a better idea/solution let us know.
