New Convert, Got my son to try it,yesterday

Got #2 son to try a straight yesterday. He liked it and NO BLOOD. I am going to sharpen an Engels that looks in mint condition and give it to him (Ebay $18.00). I made him watch Lynn's video first.

Very Coooool!!! All three of my sons shave with a straight razor. Tis a gas just watching them. I'm waiting till they can start honing mine......

My son is only 3 but he watches me shaving and thinks nothing of it. It will be interesting to see what he does.
Got a while to wait mind you.....

Joe the video was the clip he has posted.
drsch dont' rush him he will be shaving before you know it. The time passes too quickly. By the time he starts shaving they lose their head and don't get it back till about 21 or so, maybe. I am a firm believer they need to be sent off for retraining at age 13.

You mean when you're geriatric and infirm and can't hone any more? I'm sure you'll make them shave you like FUD does and complain the whole time that the razor isn't as sharp as you used to get it. Originally Posted by adjustme69

I don't think I would mind them doing the honing. But shaving me? I don't know if I would trust the revenge factor.

I used to do volunteer work at a nursing home and there was a guy who would go in once a week or so and do shaves for all the old guys that were no longer able to. He must have been pretty good cause the older you get the stronger your skin ain't. I love my son dearly but in my old age I think I'll grow a beard if that's the only option.
