Thanked: 1An update on my stropping
Hello gents well I finally got my self a strop. It is a ken rup filly and can i say iam really glad i went with it, yes i will admitt I have put in a few nicks in it allready. But its a good strop to start with until i get better and can get a better one like a 3 inch or SRD paddle strop dont know yet. I would recomend this strop to anyone because it really forces you to do the x patern however, i do the x-patern with the blade at a 45 degre angle I dont know why i did that but it works. On another note does anyone know of a honing servie available in canada? I know there was a guy i saw SRP a while ago but havent seen him in a while. So if anyone has any information on a honing service based prefferably in canada that would be great!.On another note I would like to thank all of you guys here a SRP, you have truly been a great help to not only myslef but countless other newbies, so to that I thank you.
thank guys looking foward to hearing from you !

Justin, not sure what you mean by this, but are you lifting the spine off of the strop and stropping with the edge at a 45 degree angle to the strop? If so, you will definitely do damage to your edge! Maybe I am misunderstanding what you are saying...I hope I am.
