Thanked: 0day five...or maybe six...
Today i got a shave ready razor in the mail from one of the members of this forum. It was a real treat, especially considering that, with the exception of the first day of straight shaving, i haven't touched a safety since i started. When i knocked down the edge of my dovo yesterday i thought i'd have to go back to the safety until i got my norton hone in the mail (scheduled for delivery on wed.), but it was truly a red letter day when i opened the mail. shaved beautifully and smoothly. still no major cuts or nicks and my shaves get closer everyday; they've long since surpassed anything i ever got with a safety...
thanks again for all the help!

Glad that everything is working out so well
for you. So is shaving with a straight easier
than you expected?

Thanked: 0i'm sure people here will tell me i'm wrong, but, yeah. honestly, it's a lot easier than i thought it would be after all the stuff i read. i'm sure the shaves will get better, as someone here suggested, but i mean to say that getting a shave as close as i ever got with a safety razor was a snap. the challenge has been getting closer, and that's not going so bad either!

My guess is no one will say that you are wrong.
It was easier than I thought it would be as well.
Well, as time goes on, it will get even better.
Glad that it's all working out.

Thanked: 0i will say, i would have been completely lost without the folks on this board. i think the reason it went so smoothly is because i was well prepared, and i would not have been so if not for straight razor place!

It is better having you guys around than working in an information vaccuum. Every so often we get a few guys show up who've been at it for years without any support and their ingenuity is inspiring, but I would rather have this great group of gentlemen fro support. Even new gutys come in and ask questions we had forgotten about or see things with fresh eyes which is also a great think for the group conciousness. Thank-you all for participating. I know I appreciate it.
