Be careful near the edge, even though it's probably not near to shave ready it can still cut through the cloth and your finger(s). Other than that, polish as you would other metals, dental floss and a toothbrush can be good around the pivot. For cloth I just use old pillow cases or what have you, something not too abrasive.
