    We don't have these problems with added charges on postal items here in Thailand. I think this is largly because the postal service here is highly corrupt and incompetant.

    On the down side they will steel anything that looks valuable or, if it is marked fragile, see how many times they can drop it from a hight until it starts to rattle.

    Luckily the market for razors and hones in Thailand consists largly of just me. So there is no point steeling a razor, the can't re-sell it.

    I was told that i should compare it with the airport, some people/packages will get stopped/checked some won't.
    In Denmark we may not receive parcels with a value of more than 15,5$, or else it is in risk of getting stopped.
