The other option which will cost you significantly less would be to purchase something off the Classifieds here @SRP. One of the major reasons I recommend this is because if you find, for whatever reason, this isn't to your liking, you haven't invested a large chunk of cash.

Thanked: 317Not that there's any question left after all those responses, but.....
That's a very good deal from a seller that is one of the most reputable guys out there, and honed by one of the most experienced honemeisters in the world.
I've bought a number of different items from SRD over the last few years, and I've been nothing but happy with the products, the prices and the service.

I'd say if you can afford it consider upgrading the 2'' strop to a 3'' strop. That'll make your learning to strop a little easier I think. If you don't want to spend the extra cash - no big deal. For the calibre of products you're looking at that's a great deal.

Hello,
nice razor, I agree you can not go wrong with that set.
It is new and unused. You can be sure it is perfect.
If you go to spr classifieds (or any other secondhand) there are always a risk. Even here in spr are seller and knives with variable skill levels and condition. In the worst case your first blade could be somehow bad. In my opinion the first set must be correct, it will give fun and good experiences to you for a long time. And the price difference is not so big. Later when you have got some experience you can try secondhand blades.

A very good combo for the price. I would say go and get it!
The Dovos are great value razors, so are SRD strops.
