Shave Christmas
Greeting Gents,
Yesterday was a most joyous day for me. In the mail I received:
1 bottle Dominca Lime Bay Rum
1 Shavex Alum Block
1 SRD Modular Paddle Strop
1 bottle of Chromium Oxide Spry
and to my great delight...
My project JR Torrey near wedge fresh off the hones!
I just had a shave with the full kit and I have to say it was lovely! At first I was worried as this razor is significantly smaller, and lighter, than my Genco Pyramid or my TI CarbonSong. But I have to say it shaved a dream. One pass WTG smooth and comfortable. I've never gotten this close with less than 2 passes!
On top of that, the Bay Rum smells fantastic and my skin feels great. So Merry Shave-mas to me! And thanks to Lynn and Don @ SRD for making it happen. And I might be crazy but I swear that while they were busy making this little Torrey the sharpest razor in the world they managed to give my pivot a proper tightening! Thanks Again!

It's exciting to see guys expanding their horizons. I only wish I did it years ago. Congrats on joining the club. Sounds like I'll have to try that Lime Bay Rum, sounds good.
