    Default Broken Blade D:

    Hello,

I don't know if you guys remember me from a while ago, but back then I bought a razor on ebay which turned out to be actually a chunk of metal shaped like a razor. I then received a shave ready razor from Sham.

Now, after some time of shaving with the razor, it unfortunately met a premature end D: When I was at school, my dad was cleaning my room (for some strange reason), and he caught the razor with his shirt. When it fell on the floor, it must've hit something (I'm not sure what it was but I'm suspecting it hit the leg of my chair) and a chunk of metal broke off the blade.

    Here's a picture of it:

I imagine there's nothing that can be done with this blade anymore D:

Well, I did buy a new one from the classified section, and I'm assuming it's going to be shave ready as well It looks a lot like this one except it has a black scale. Hope it comes in soon ^.^

I'm sorry for your loss. No, the blade cannot be rescued, but it can make a contribution to the organ donor program. The scales and thrust washers can be used to allow another razor to live again.

Well that's a damn shame. Sorry to here about your misfortune. And I guess your father got lucky not to take a razor in the leg or foot.

He was pretty lucky it didn't catch his feet. He'd be missing something that's for sure. ;]

heartbreaker, I'm sure it was a fine shaver.

I purposefully hang on to a few damaged razors. As example, I'll stash one in a bin box in the shop. Knowing often I search those drawers when desperate to find a mystery item. It reminds me to slow down, maybe even to take a break.

One like this might be good to frame in the area you securely store razors, as a use caution/hands off reminder to all.

I weep for you as I would for myself if my Biedermeyer from Sham was broken.

Damn shame. I was lucky, I have an Otto Deutsch that fell out of my hand when shaving and clanked around the sink. Damage was two very tiny chips that easily honed out. Tell your dad to stay out of your room, better yet put those things in a well protected environment.
